A Poem From The Heart
By Nelson Brent, Center Board Member

This poem is not about Jan.

Oh, yes, I am her fan.

If you’re pregnant and in a crisis,

You’ll find that she’s the nicest

Person to share

God’s love over there

In Brush at the center.

You’ll find when you enter

The love of God’s Spirit.

Everyone should hear it.

The center is not about us.

The truth is, it’s about Jesus.

The center strives as we claim

To lift up Jesus’ name.

Satan came to destroy and kill

But Jesus came our lives to fill.

We want to spread the good news

But we need the person in your shoes

To meet people’s needs

And plant Gospel seeds.

That’s where the money goes:

We pray for a world that shows

The efforts of us all

When we each answer the call.

Please find a way;

Take time to pray.

If God is tugging at your heart,

Make sure you do your part.

We’ll even call you ‘honey,’

If you give us some money.

So don’t forget to pray

As you give us some pay

For that’s the only way.

Without God’s blessing

We’re only window dressing.

Help us love a child, a father, a mother,

For God would have us do none other.
